Ms. Josefina Shen serves on the Advisory Committee to USAsia Consulting. Ms. Shen provides input on the firm's strategy and assists with execution of assignments for USAsia's clients. Ms. Shen has almost 20 years of experience across private equity and public market investments. She has invested in private equity in China, Philippines, Indonesia and Hong Kong, and she has raised over US$400 million from both institutional investors and high net worth families in the United States and Europe.

Ms. Shen is a Founder of Sky Venture Partners, which provides services high-quality Chinese companies which seek capital, strategic partnerships and strategic guidance to achieve long-term sustainable growth. Ms. Shen also serves as Managing Director at CSV Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on providing early growth capital for emerging companies with significant operations in China. Prior to that, Ms. Shen served as Senior Advisor and General Manager of China to Asia Pacific Land , a real estate investment company. Ms. Shen has also worked at Sierra Asia Partners as Managing Director responsible for investment banking activities in China. She has worked at a number of other private equity companies during her career, including RimAsia Capital, Newbridge Capital/TPG and the Equinox Group, where she was responsible for fundraising, sourcing and executing investment opportunities. Other responsibilities included developing and turning around portfolio companies, typically as a director or on secondment (as a company's interim CFO or COO or as a core member of the management team). Ms. Shen's responsibilities included implementing financial controls, managing operational downsizing, identifying growth opportunities through acquisition and strategic partnerships, developing marketing strategies, generating cash through asset disposals and recruiting professional management teams.

Ms. Shen holds a master's degree in business administration from the Anderson Graduate School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles, where she was also awarded an International Management Fellow, Chinese Track. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in East Asian Studies from Columbia University in New York. Ms. Shen resides in Shanghai, China.
